We are so excited to be working with our new group of students and our students from last year. This year the program will be serving 354 new students and about 200 returning students. We couldn't have done recruitment without the wonderful counselors, teachers, administrators and other staff at our various schools! We have hit the ground running and are busy working on things such as ACT prep, pro-academic behaviors, and career and college exploration. We want to give a shout out
With the October and December ACT around the corner, here is a helpful tip from our newsletter, the Razor C.O.A.C.H. chronicle.
When taking the ACT/SAT, request for your scores to be sent to the colleges where you plan to apply. Most schools (but not all) will accept ACT/SAT scores from high school transcripts as official.
When the registrar at your high school sends your transcript(s), request for the test scores to be included. Also, most colleges take the highest ACT/SAT score, and many schools use the “superscore.” This is the top score from each of the subtests (Math, English, Reading, and Science) averaged together. Often, the superscore results in a higher composite score, which is another reason why taking the ACT/SAT multiple times is encouraged.
